Construction of five large-scale PV Parks begins – Let’s green the world!

It is with great pleasure that we announce the signing of the procurement and construction contract for five large-scale PV Parks, amounting 11,9MW, which marks the beginning of the construction in early April 2016. The overall investment amounts to 12 million euros.
The contract was signed by Constantinos Zigouras, Director of Sunel UK Ltd., Dimi Morozov, Executive Chairman of CYPV Energy and George Georgiou, Director and member of the Board of Directors of CYPV Energy. Themis Lagkorkopoulos, Project Manager of the Parks was also present, representing SunTechnics, a subsidiary of GDL Green Energy Group.
SunTechnics, a pioneer in PV Parks’ maintenance services, has undertaken the project management, operation and maintenance of the five parks that will be constructed in wider Nicosia and Larnaca area.
The license of this ambitious project was received in the context of the bidding competition procedure of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism which was held on 2013 and which CYPV Energy won.
With the use of ample solar energy, the parks will be producing “clean” electrical energy fed into EAC grid. This way the parks will significantly contribute towards the strengthening and the stability of EAC network.
With the signing of the agreement GDL Green Energy Group has achieved one of its most important strategic goals, a fact that makes us truly proud.
